SERVICE HISTORY NOT REQUIRED
Your car doesn't need to have a full or even partial service history to benefit from a Click4Warranty policy.

Some warranty companies slip in a clause insisting your car has been serviced in the last year or that it must be serviced as recommended by the manufacturer. It's worth checking the small print, failing to meet the service standard could mean your claims are rejected.

Our warranty policy covers cars with full, partial or no service history.

SERVICING REQUIREMENTS DURING WARRANTY COVER
You can either follow the manufacturers service requirements or we provide the following alternative five point service schedule which can be carried out by your local vat registered garage (we don't insist on expensive franchised dealer servicing).

At intervals of 6 months or 6,000 miles (whichever is the sooner)

  1. Change engine oil and filter.
  2. Check oil levels in the gearbox and differential and top up where necessary.
  3. Check coolant level and anti-freeze/inhibitor strength. Top up where necessary.
  4. Check timing belt [if fitted], renew if necessary.
  5. Brake fluid must be replaced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendation.

If your service history is missing or incomplete when cover starts, either a manufacturer service or the alternative five point service schedule must be completed within 21 days or 500 miles (whichever is sooner)

WHEN YOUR NEXT SERVICE IS DUE
This depends on the status of your cars service history.

  1. Complete service history. Just ensure the next service is carried out either following the manufacturers service requirements or the five point service schedule as detailed in section 15 of our terms and conditions.
  2. Partial or no service history. It is important to have your car serviced within 21 days or 500 miles (whichever is sooner). We don't insist on an expensive franchised dealer service, you can either follow the manufacturers service requirements or the alternative five point service schedule.

ACCEPTABLE PROOF OF SERVICING
Acceptable proof of servicing is either the vehicles servicing handbook correctly stamped and completed by a vat registered garage or fully detailed vat service invoice(s) indicating servicing dates and mileages.

For a full details of our servicing requirements please refer to section 15 of the policy terms and conditions.
