The new Skyline coupe is now even more attractive, sophisticated & powerful. It has a new dramatic style & driver based interior & a super hot VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) 3.7-liter V6 engine.

The car has an elegant curving front fender. The front fascia features characteristic Skyline fender lines with a low hood. The brightly-finished grille & L-shaped Bi-Xenon headlights give it even more presence. It has large wheel wells, Skyline-signature LED combination taillights & a dual exhaust. It is available in 7 colours including 2 new ones Vibrant Red & Luna Mare Silver.

The interior is designed purely so that it ensures driving it is a pleasurable one. The driver’s position is super comfortable with supportive seats, the steering wheel has a hand stitched leather casing & the foot paddles are made of light yet sturdy magnesium. The curves of the front seat & door add to its sporty appearance. It is available in 2 interior colours fauve, with real wood trim or Cool Black, featuring real aluminium trim. The interior also houses an array of advanced technology systems, including an Intelligent Key system that electronically locks the steering, immobilizes the engine. A Blind-Side Monitor system is also available that assists the driver when pulling to a curb or parallel parking. It displays a view of the blind areas around the front left of the vehicle as does a Rear View Monitor system, which displays images behind the vehicle by using a compact CCD camera. There is a HDD CARWINGS navigation system which includes a touch panel for convenience. Sound & audio includes a Music Box recorder/player, available with a Bose audio system, provides the playback of DVDs, audio & video media, as well as a Bluetooth Hands Free feature.

The new Skyline coupe uses the advanced FM (Front Mid-ship) package & FR-L platform as well as its newly developed VQ37VHR engine. The VQ37VHR is new generation in high-performance engines. With its 333 horsepower, it is the most powerful V6. It provides 90% of maximum torque between 2,400 & 7,000 rpm, the engine power is light, smooth easy to handle all the way to the 7,500 rpm redline. The VQ37VHR`s Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) system continuously changes the angle and lift of the intake valves, depending on the acceleration & speed of the engine. The fully symmetrical air intakes on right & left increase the volume of intake air & reduce pumping loss, thus increasing its response, higher power, low fuel-consumption & a cleaner exhaust. Either manual or automatic transmissions, the 6-speed manual transmission gives quick shifting & sporty touring. The transmission has an ASC (adaptive shift control) adds comfort by automatically selecting the best gear for whatever range of driving required. It’s double-wishbone front suspension & multi-link rear suspension enhances stability, control & responsiveness. While the dual-flow pass shock absorbers were developed through extensive review of damping force & rebound spring criteria. It also houses four wheel aluminum-caliper opposed-piston brakes. These are designed to optimize the stroke at low speed & provide secure stopping power at higher speeds. The standard 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) also includes Electronic Braking Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist(BA), while Intelligent Brake Assist is a further option. The Skyline coupe also features standard Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and a speed-sensitive hydraulic power steering system. Nissan has also included a four-wheel active steering (4WAS) system.

The new Skyline coupe also offers door mirror heaters, flat-blade wipers, & a fuel efficiency gauge. Standard safety equipment includes rigid, safe Zone Body construction, driver & front passenger SRS Air Bag System, driver & front passenger SRS Side Air Bag System, SRS Curtain Air Bag System, Active Front Head Restraints & a three-point ELR rear seat belts. Amazingly, the body has been designed to offer more pedestrian protection, including a pop-up engine hood. When sensors embedded in the front bumper detect an impact the system’s control unit determines if the hood needs to be instantly raised. If it’s necessary, the control unit activates a pyrotechnic actuator that raises the rear edge of the hood, creating a larger, protective buffer space between the hood & hard engine components underneath. This helps cushion the impact to the pedestrian’s head if it collides with the hood.

All Skyline coupe models are certified as SU-LEVs, as well as being over 95% recyclable.
