About Our Extended Car Warranties

Your car is often your second-biggest investment after your home — and one of the most important parts of daily life. When it breaks down after the manufacturer’s warranty ends, repairs can be expensive and stressful.

That’s where a used car warranty from Click4Warranty can help. Our extended car warranties provide financial protection against unexpected mechanical and electrical breakdowns, helping you avoid large repair bills and keep your car on the road.

What is a Used Car Warranty?

A used car warranty, also called an extended warranty, covers the cost of repairing major mechanical and electrical failures after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. It pays towards parts, labour, and VAT for covered components — giving you peace of mind and protecting your savings.

Is an Extended Car Warranty Worth It?

Many drivers ask if extended warranty cover is worth buying. The answer depends on your car’s age, mileage, and how much risk you’re comfortable taking. One big repair can easily cost over £1,000 or even more — here’s what some recent claims looked like:

When Should You Buy Extended Warranty Cover?

Manufacturer warranty ending soon
If your factory warranty is about to expire, now is the perfect time to take out extended cover. This gives you seamless protection with no gap in cover.

Older car, higher risk of repairs
As your car gets older it’s more likely to develop faults. Our affordable extended warranty helps protect you from expensive repair bills and keeps you safely on the road.

Buying a used car with no warranty
When purchasing a used car with no manufacturer warranty left, our extended car warranty gives you immediate financial protection and stress-free motoring from day one.

Wear & Tear Cover Explained

Click4Warranty Drive Elite and Drive Elite Plus policies include Wear & Tear cover from the very first day your policy starts — with no waiting period.

This means we can help with repairs to covered components that fail due to normal everyday use and gradual deterioration, not just sudden breakdowns.

Servicing and Your Responsibilities

To keep your warranty valid and ensure claims are paid smoothly, it’s important to meet a few straightforward responsibilities.

  1. Service your vehicle: Always service your car according to the manufacturer’s recommended schedule. Keep all service records — you may need to show them when making a claim. You don’t need a full service history to start your policy. Just complete any overdue service within 21 days or 500 miles of your policy start date (whichever comes first).
  2. Keep your details up to date: Please notify us promptly of any changes to: your name, address, email and phone number, and your vehicle registration number.
  3. Maintain a valid MOT: Your vehicle must have at least 28 days of MOT remaining when you make a claim.
  4. Follow the claims process: Always contact our claims team before any repairs begin. We’ll guide you through the process and help arrange repairs with an approved repairer. How to Make a Claim

Staying on top of these responsibilities helps ensure your warranty remains valid and your claims are straightforward. If you’re ever unsure, just get in touch — we’re here to help.
