FAQs

What is car warranty insurance?

When your car suddenly breaks down or isn’t driving as it should, your first thought is generally how much is this going to cost me? And these days, with finances being what they are, fixing faults and replacing broken car parts can be more that we can cope with right now. But taking out the right extended car warranty can give you vital protection to help get your car back on the road, without the unwanted, financial blow. And, when you consider that you can make this a monthly expense rather than a once off expense, it just makes sense.

So, here’s the good news! Click4Warranty 4-Star Mechanical Breakdown Insurance provides comprehensive parts cover that will give you peace of mind if your car breaks down. Helping you locate a suitable approved repairer, paying the repairer directly and getting your car back on the road quickly and safely is our priority.

Plus, we’ll cover you for the inconvenience of towing, being left without transport or stranded miles from home. We want you and your car safe and back on the road. It’s just what we do.

How does extended warranty cover work?

An extended car warranty provides similar, but more comprehensive cover than a manufacturer warranty. It’s financial protection against mechanical breakdown or electrical failure of covered components, saving you from having to cover the cost yourself.

With a Click4Warranty car warranty you’ll get cover for a long list of critical components, as well as the cost of labour and VAT to repair or replace them. We’ll also cover failure as a result of Wear & Tear of covered parts.

This means that if your car breaks down as a result of the mechanical breakdown or electrical failure of any of these covered parts, so long as you follow the policy requirements, we’ll pay out up to the maximum claim benefit level you selected per claim, and as stipulated on your policy schedule.

Are extended car warranties worth it?

Click4Warranty Mechanical Breakdown Insurance is a fully insured and regulated product that’s designed to help you keep your car on the road… saving you from having to carry the cost of repair alone.

With the average cost of mechanical breakdown or electrical failure on the increase, this is cover that you may well want to consider. It also means that you’re paying at today’s rate for repairs that could well take place up to 3 years in the future.

Let’s look at a few examples of recent claim values and see if these are amounts you’d feel comfortable covering yourself.
