Hyundai Car Warranty

At Click4warranty, we provide extended car warranties for all Hyundai models.

The Hyundai brand originally started out as a construction firm in 1947, founded by entrepreneur Chung Ju-Yung and was named Hyundai Engineering and Construction company.

Chung Ju-Yung later established the Hyundai Motor Company in South Korea in 1967, and the first car they released was a collaborative effort with Ford – the Cortina.

After the Cortina, they started looking into developing their own car for the Korean market, and started enlisting team members from other countries such as a few British engineers and also George Turnbull – the former managing director of Austin Morris. The very first Korean car, the Hyundai Pony, was released in 1975.

The Pony proved to be a massive success, with the model being exported all over the world – from South American countries like Ecuador, to becoming the best-selling car in Canada at one stage.

In the late 90s Hyundai overhauled many of their practices - design, research, manufacturing - in order to become one of the top brands in the world.

South Korea’s Hyundai sold its millionth vehicle in the UK in 2015, and is now the fifth-largest car producer in the world. Hyundai specializes in pocket-friendly cars and offers hatchbacks, saloons, coupes, estates and SUVs.

Their engineers are presently working on innovations like puncture-proof tyres, wiper-free windscreens, and self-repairing paint.

Interesting Hyndai facts

2. Hyundai recognizes the importance of conservation. During the building of Hyundai's Czech Republic car plant, 1,100 mature trees were relocated, looked after, and then returned later to the area after the factory's completion.

3. Their Czech Republic plant, Nošovice, is also recognised as Europe's most modern plant. They employ many advanced technologies as well as waste-management systems in order to ensure high levels of quality, yet keep their impact on the environment as small as possible.
